The majority of our Postgraduate coursework programs are available for admission through the University Admissions Centre.
A number of our online programs are available via GradSchool.

Some programs may require the submission of a Curriculum Vitae and/or evidence of work experience such as a statement or service.
Additional Application Requirements
Statement of Service, Curriculum Vitae or Resume required
When applying for some programs you must also submit a Statement of Service, Curriculum Vitae or Resume directly to the University of Newcastle.
When you submit this information, include a covering letter, stating your full name, daytime telephone number, UAC application number and program/s to which you are applying. You must provide this information directly to the University of Newcastle at the same time that you submit your application to UAC.

* Some programs have specific closing dates and may accept late applications. Please check the UAC website. Please note a number of Faculty of Health programs in Intake 4 have an early application closing date.
Applications for Intakes 1 and 2, 2012 will open on 8 September 2011.
How to accept your offer
When you receive a UAC offer to study at the University of Newcastle, it is necessary to accept your offer online if you intend to enrol.
To accept your offer you will need to access the website www.newcastle.edu.au/uac using your UAC application number and date of birth and follow the prompts. You will also be asked to confirm your address. If you do not have private access to the internet, the University's Student Hubs on campus provide a number of computer terminals where you can access the internet and some local government libraries have public internet access.
Do not mail the UAC Acceptance of Offer to UAC.
You may receive more than one offer from the University of Newcastle however only the last offer you accept will remain active. You will be withdrawn from all previously accepted offers. Please read the directions within the online process carefully to ensure that your enrolment is completed correctly.
How long do I have to accept my offer?
Please advise the University that you wish to accept your offer within ten days of receiving your offer letter.
How do I enrol?
Please be aware that Theology and Property programs are not offered through GradSchool. Students of these programs should follow the same enrolment guidelines as on campus students.
On campus students
Once you have accepted your offer you will be sent information about how and when to enrol online in an enrolment brochure.
In order to enrol online, you will need a username and password. You should visit www.newcastle.edu.au/uac two days after you accept the offer, where you will receive your username and password.
On campus students enrolling in weblearn courses should first visit www.gradschool.com.au and read the Terms and Conditions.

Graduate Certificate in Property and Master of Property students should follow the same procedure as on campus students.
What if I was enrolled at the University in 2011?
You will still need to follow the above procedures on how to accept and enrol. You may be presented with a number of options during your online acceptance procedure, depending on whether you perhaps expect to graduate from your earlier program.
What if I am currently enrolled and wish to enrol in my new degree concurrently with my existing one?
Students who wish to enrol in two degrees concurrently at the University of Newcastle must first gain permission. If you wish to enrol in two degrees concurrently, you will be prompted to leave the online acceptance process and contact the Admissions office to complete the process by another means.
What if I want to defer my offer?
If you are offered admission to a; program at the University of Newcastle, you may defer admission to the program for a period of one year. To defer your offer, you will need to access the website www.newcastle.edu.au/uac. Use your UAC application number and date of birth and following the prompts. If you do not have private access to the internet, some Local Government libraries have public internet access.
How do I decline my offer?
If you do not wish to accept this offer, please indicate this during the online acceptance process.
What if my online transaction doesn't work?
