College Maintenance

The reporting of defects or maintenance requests within the residential colleges are now to be lodged on-line. The on-line maintenance requests will be accessed regularly during office hours and attended to by a caretaker or contractor as soon as possible. In the case of urgent matters (e.g. overflowing toilet, loss of electrical power, loss of water supply, etc), please follow the procedures as outlined further below.

Regular Maintenance and Non-Urgent Requests

Non-urgent requests involve circumstances where there is no or minimal safety risk to residents and/or property, or the resident(s) can comfortably wait till the next working day for staff to attend. Examples of non-urgent requests would include such things as a dripping tap, blown light globe, a washing machine or dryer not working, etc.

Urgent Requests

Urgent requests would include circumstances where there is a significant safety risk to residents or property, and/or there is an interruption to basic facilities. Examples of urgent requests would include such things as an overflowing toilet, loss of electrical power, loss of water supply.
