The University of Newcastle contains four residential colleges at its Callaghan campus and one residential college at its Ourimbah campus.
Blue Gum House – houses 26 residents in single occupancy rooms with own bathroom (all self-catered)
Each of the Colleges has its own ethos and all offer a range of social, cultural and sporting opportunities in an environment conducive to study and academic achievement. Each College is under the care of a Head of College and a team of residential Staff. Further information on the colleges can be found within each of the college’s individual websites.
The colleges offer license agreements of one academic year or one semester to those students who are only studying for one semester or finishing their degree. License agreements of differing or shorter durations are only available in special circumstances. No refunds are provided where a student decides to leave prior to the conclusion of their licence agreement unless there are exceptional circumstances or are due to academic reasons. Room Rates vary considerably in accordance with self-catered, semi-catered (five meals/week) or fully catered (sixteen meals/week) facilities.
