Cecily WatersCecily started her radio career at 2NUR-FM in October 1984, where she played soft jazz, contemporary jazz, bee-bop and blues on a program originated by her called "In the Mood".

Cecily had the pleasure of being the first announcer to broadcast from 2NUR-FM's newstudios in July 1994, when she "sat-in" for Graham Wilson for breakfast for two weeks.

She is committed to promoting local talent, and has done many interviews. For example, guitar virtuoso Bruce Mathiske had his first interview with Cecily way back in 1988. She has produced and promoted albums for local bands, such as The Cool Dudes and The Wobbly Boot Jazz Band.

In October 1994, Cecily went to Melbourne where she worked in commercial radio (3AK) for 5 years. In that time, apart from running an easy-listening format she became and still remains the only broadcaster in the commercial field to run a specialised jazz program on commercial radio in Australia.

Cecily returned to Newcastle at the end of 1999, and came back to 2NUR-FM. In the program she has many CD give-aways, and interviews with local performers.

Royce McCormackRoyce McCormack assists Cecily with the program by taking listeners' calls, and arranging the prizes given during the program.

Royce is also the Chairman of the Friends of 2NUR-FM.
