Brass Encounters

The Hunter region of New South Wales has a long tradition of brass music and 2NUR-FM is the only local radio station that features brass music.

Winner of a Centenary Medal for his long service to the community through the Brass Band Movement, Geoff McGregor has been producing Brass Encounters for over 23 years. Geoff's broad knowledge of the repertoire and his access to recordings of the finest performances make this program a listening must for all brass enthusiasts.

Geoff was named Lake Macquarie City Citizen Of The Year in the 2005 Australia Day Honours List.
