THE AUSTRALIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION - (NSW) LTD PRIZE

Awarded to: GABRIELLE PAPEIX

This prize is awarded to a student graduating from the degree of Bachelor of Medicine who demonstrates the highest overall ability and capacity in the Year 4 Long Cases (Paediatrics, Medicine and Surgery), the Year 4 Reproductive Medicine Clinical OSCE, the Year 5 Medicine Long Case and Clinical OSCEs (Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry) and the Year 5 Longitudinal Task.

THE ANDREW LAWSON MEMORIAL PRIZE IN ONCOLOGY

Awarded to: PHILLIPA ROBERTSON

Prize to be awarded to a student enrolled in Year 5 of the Bachelor of Medicine who completes the best essay written in addition to the curriculum requirements, in the field of Oncology, if of sufficient merit. The essay should address a relevant oncological problem with a critical review of appropriate clinical evidence.

WELCH ALLYN DIAGNOSTIC SET PRIZE

Awarded to: FRANK MARROQUIN-HARRIS

Prize to be awarded to a student enrolled in Year 3, Year 4 or Year 5 of the Bachelor of Medicine who completes the best essay written in addition to the curriculum requirements, in the fields of eye, ear, nose and throat.

CARL MASON MEMORIAL PRIZE

Awarded to: CHANTELLE BADAWY, CARLA GILLESPIE, ANTONIA PEARSON, AMY SALES AND JAMES TRIPLETT

Prize to be awarded annually to the student(s) submitting the best Longitudinal Report; or Primary Health Care Selective Report and/or Bachelor of Medical Science proposal in the field of diabetes in children. In 2010 the prize was awarded to a group of students for their Longitudinal Task assignment titled: 'Lifestyle Intervention for Prevention of Diabetes and the Metabolic Syndrome in Childhood Cancer Survivors'

STEELE DOUGLAS PRIZE IN PATHOLOGY

Awarded to: RUTH EASTON, LAY PING LEE, POLLY STEWART AND JAE MIE TEH

Prize to be awarded annually to the Year 5 Bachelor of Medicine students who achieve the highest overall mark for either the Longitudinal Report in the field of pathology or Quality in Health Care Project in the field of pathology. In 2010 the prize was awarded to a group of students for their Quality in Health Care assignment titled: 'If in Doubt, Take it Out: Preventing Catheter associated urinary tract infection'

ANDREW LOJSZCZYK PRIZE

Awarded to: NATHAN FIELD

Awarded annually to the student graduating from the degree of Bachelor of Medicine who in the final two years of the program demonstrated the highest overall ability and capacity in clinical performance in surgery (including Year 4 Long Case, Year 4 Clinical Supervisor's Report and Year 5 Emergency Medicine/Orthopaedic Surgery assessment instruments as nominated by the appropriate Year 5 course co-ordinator).

JOHN HAMILTON PRIZE FOR INDIGENOUS MEDICAL STUDENTS

Awarded to: SHEREE ENDERBY

Awarded annually to an Indigenous student enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine who performs well in Year 2 of the program and who has shown progressive improvement throughout their enrolment.

JOHN MCPHEE MEMORIAL PRIZE

Awarded to: CASSIE DAROS, JESSICA HAYES, HELEN MACCALLUM, JAYDE CROMARY AND JESSICA GANI

Awarded annually to the Year 2 Bachelor of Medicine group with the best film project on professional behaviour in Clinical Ethics and Health Law.

RANZCOG WOMEN'S HEALTH AWARD

Awarded to: PHOEBE MOORE

Awarded annually to the student being a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine who in Year 4 of the program demonstrated the highest overall ability and capacity in the obstetrics and gynaecology summative assessment components of the Women's And Children's Health course in addition to demonstrating an aptitude and enthusiasm for obstetrics and gynaecology in their student portfolio and supervisor reports

MARGARET AUCHMUTY PRIZE FOR WOMEN MEDICAL STUDENTS

Awarded to: LULU MA

Awarded annually to the female student being a candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine who completes the best report in either the Year 3 Health Equity Selective in Aboriginal health, or the Year 5 Primary Health Care Selective in Aboriginal health.

HUNTER POSTGRADUATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE PRIZE
