Bachelor of Mathematics (Statistics)

After completing my Maths degree, majoring in Statistics, I was employed by Zurich Life as a Technical Calculations Officer in Sydney. The position involved actuarial work concerning the calculation of investors' policy values following changes to their original insurance position. After 2 and 1/2 years, I moved on to work for the Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA), part of the Managed Investment and Life insurance industry, covering the Superannuation industry. I was responsible for a number of industry forums formed to resolve issues within the industry, e.g. formation of guidance notes and standards. In this role I collected and analysed data on the industry's performance, reporting results to the government and media on which sectors are growing and the magnitude of such growth.

After 2 years of working for IFSA, I went to work for Morningstar for 2 and a half years, where I was responsible for rating managed funds for the purpose of assisting the general public make more informed investment decisions. Currently, I am working for InTech Financial Services, where I head up their research products area, providing similar services to those at Morningstar.

My hobbies and other interests include soccer, jogging and having barbecues.
