The Newcastle Law Review
The Newcastle Law Review was launched in 1995. Since that time an impressive variety of articles and notes has been published, representing traditional categories of legal scholarship and interdisciplinary contributions. Special issues of the review have addressed a wide range of topics, including 'Treaties and Constitutions', 'Children and the Law' and 'Moral Panics, the Media and the Law'.
The text of the Sir Ninian Stephen Lecture, which was established to welcome first year law students to the Faculty, has been published each year. Volume 11 of the Newcastle Law Review includes the text of the 17th Sir Ninian Stephen Lecture, entitled 'Fact and Law', delivered by the Solicitor-General of Australia, Mr Stephen Gageler SC in August 2009. The Editorial Board comprises eminent judges, practitioners and legal academics from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States and United Kingdom. A Board of Faculty Consultants provides advice to the Editor concerning law review policies.
