Facilities

The School has specialised teaching laboratories for programs at both the Newcastle and Central Coast campuses. Students learn and refine their practical skills required for professional practice in these laboratories prior to undertaking clinical or other professional placements. The laboratories contain modern diagnostic, treatment and other professional equipment, in addition to simulated work environments.

The School also operates The University of Newcastle and Central Coast Local Health District Podiatry Clinic at Wyong and The University of Newcastle Oral Health Clinic at Ourimbah, providing services to the local Central Coast communities and clinical learning experiences for students. On the Callaghan Campus there is a School of Health Sciences Research Laboratory which includes research equipment such as an instrumented physiotherapy treatment table and a bone densitometer.
