Bachelor of Science
A Geography major in the Bachelor of Science involves human and physical geography and environmental courses. You can also take geography as part of a minor.
A BSc Geography major can be focused on human geography, on physical geography or your major can combine both human and physical geography. For further information on the courses in each focus area click on the links below:

Bachelor of Development Studies
The Bachelor of Development Studies provides opportunities to study issues associated with international development and underdevelopment. You will study globalisation and regional development issues at a variety of scales, with a focus on sustainable development and cultural diversity. The program takes an interdisciplinary approach, so you will study courses drawn from various areas to contribute to the program (including geography, sociology, anthropology, economics, politics and environmental courses). Geography and environmental courses are integral to this interdisciplinary approach; they make up part of the core (or compulsory) courses in the program. Geography courses are also the focus of the major in Urban and Regional Development in the BDevStudies, while environmental courses are the focus of the major in Environmental Sustainability.
Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management
The Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management is made up of core (or compulsory) courses, majors (in Social Systems, Living Systems and Physical Systems) and electives. You will do environmental courses across the program. You will do some geography courses as part of your core courses for the program and can choose geography courses as part of a Social Systems major.
With other Faculties that offer a different perspective
Students can also pursue the study of the environment through the majors outlined in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Science offered by the Faculty of Education & Arts, where the development of critical thinking and analysis skils is focused on education, the humanities, creative arts and/or social sciences.
Bachelor of Arts
In the BA, you can major in Human Geography and the Environment or take a range of these courses as electives.
Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts students training to be primary or high school teachers can chose geography courses. Students studying to be social sciences teachers at high school will do the most geography and can choose from human and physical geography and environmental courses.
Bachelor of Social Science
In the BSocSci you can take human geography as a major or take geography courses as electives. The geography major in the BSocSci involves human geography and environmental courses.
