Distributed Computing Research Group
The Distributed Computing Research Group (DCRG) is focused on investigating distributed and network computing concepts and implementations. Our group is part of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Newcastle, Australia and is headed by Associate Professor Frans Henskens and Dr Michael Hannaford.
Some of our research areas include:
- Software agents;
- Web services and transactions;
- Distributed and grid computing;
- Peer-to-peer networking;
- Component-based design;
