Biography

Dr Morgan completed his PhD at the University of Newcastle and was appointed as a Lecturer in the School of Education in 2002. His major research interests include health-related physical education in primary schools and the impact of school and community-based interventions to promote physical activity and prevent/treat obesity.

Major Accomplishments

Dr Morgan has recently won 8 local, state and national awards for teaching excellence, including 2 Carrick Awards for Australian University Teaching. His PhD also won both local and national awards. He is currently co-supervising 5 PhD students and is a chief investigator on a NHMRC funded project grant examining childhood obesity.
