2013 SSTAR Seminar Series

Tuesday 9 April 2013
10am-11:30am
 HA96
‘Theories in education research’.
These workshops are quite introductory in nature and are designed to provide the first impetus in engaging with various theories and their utility in educational research projects. Workshops are planned to provide a glimpse into the basic concepts and considerations underpinning different theoretical traditions and offer possible directions for further engagement in the form of suggested reading lists. The workshop series is devised and coordinated by Dr Eva Petersen, who has a wealth of experience in teaching research (theory and methodology) related courses, such as designing and convening the Honours Program at the School of Education. The first workshop covers the rationale for the workshop series and planned topics, and engages our thinking about the use and utility of theory in any research project in general.
Light morning tea is provided so please RSVP to Soe-Research@newcastle.edu.au
