Early Childhood Teaching

The Early Childhood Education programs in the School of Education aim to develop graduates who have the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary for a highly successful career in teaching. Graduates of our Early Childhood programs will be able to seek employment as educators working in Early Childhood Centres, long-day care centres and, where their program is sufficient in scope, K-2 or K-6 educational settings.

Early Childhood Education programs involve a combination of Educational Foundation Studies, Key Learning Area Studies (often with a specific focus on children aged 0-5), Early Childhood Curriculum Studies, Discipline Studies, Community and Family Studies, and Professional Pedagogy Studies.
