Research Higher Degree Students

The School of Economics, Politics & Tourism offers you the opportunity to take a Research Higher Degrees at the Masters and PhD levels. The PhD by research is the highest degree awarded by the University, and is the gateway to an exciting career in health research. The average completion time for these programs is 2 years full time for the research Masters, 4 years full time for the PhD.

As a Research Higher Degree candidate you will pursue advanced research under the guidance of two academic supervisors. You will negotiate your research topic with the appropriate Discipline Coordinator (in the first instance) and relevant academic supervisors. Your research will culminate in a thesis that will be examined by external examiners prior to award.
