Music

The University of Newcastle offers a range of tertiary music opportunities from undergraduate programs through to postgraduate research and coursework degrees.

Students are able to study music in a variety of areas including an instrument, production (technology) and composition. Study is available in a range of musical styles ranging from early and classical music. The Bachelor of Music program is currently being revised to include creative music production, contemporary, popular, jazz and world (ethnic) styles. These will be introduced as from 2009.

A range of research and coursework postgraduate programs are available both on campus and online through distance education.
