Why did you choose to study Visual Communication Design at Newcastle?
The University of Newcastle has a reputation for producing excellence in Visual Communication. I already had a Diploma of Design and had been in the industry for 6-7 years. This degree provides designers with skills to take you far in a career.

What was the best thing about your degree program?
The support and encouragement of the teaching staff in the design centre. Using state of the art in graphic design technology and software programs.

How did you find the support and service of staff at the University?
Exceptional. The University and Academic staff have been supportive, encouraging and extremely helpful and reliable.

How has your Visual Communication Design degree helped you in your professional life?
The degree has helped me to understand and embrace visual communication not just from a graphic design perspective but from design theory perspective.

What advice would you give to future students considering studying Visual Communication Design at Newcastle?
Always ask questions - even when you think you know - always get a lecturers or a teachers opinion. Don't be shy, let yourself be known by the teaching staff and they will help you, and they will direct you into a career path that suits not only your designing ability, but your personality.

And do your Honours if you can!
