Graduates will have an understanding of the theory practice continuum that operates within communication, and will be critically and analytically aware of the cultural, economic and social significance of communication in a complex and rapidly changing global environment.

For detailed information about the program structure, rules and courses please see the Bachelor of Communication program handbook page.

What can I major in?

The undergraduate degree program, as proposed, has a core component of eight necessary courses. These are coupled with a set of majors in:

  • Journalism
  • Public Relations
  • Media Production
  • Media Studies.

Students can also choose a series of electives within the degree program or from across the University system. This structure will allow students to undertake a double major.
