The Year 11 Business Challenge Returns in 2012

We have our state finalists!

Four NSW schools will battle it out for a prize pool of over $14,000 at the Faculty's 2012 UoN Year 11 Business Plan Challenge.

Merewether High School (Newcastle), Shore School (North Sydney), Trinity Catholic College (Goulburn) & Sefton High School (Chester Hill) have won finalist placing's from over 260 participating students across NSW and will be competing on Friday 16th November in this year's grand final to be held at City Campus.

Each team will take the stage with only 15 short minutes to convince the panel of judges their business plan is the best and walk away with the winner's cheque of $2000 plus a $2,000 scholarship for each member and a further $1,000 for their school.

Increased cash prize pool continues

In recognition of all the hard work, time and energy dedicated to the submissions, the University continues to offer a great cash prize pool as follows:

Winner

  • $2000 cash for individual or team
  • $1000 cash for the school

Runners up (3 finalists)

  • $500 cash for individual or team
  • $500 cash for each school

Cash scholarship

In addition to cash prizes for winning students and their school, the University is offering a $2000 scholarship to the winning student (or each student in the winning team) if the student enrols in either a Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Law at the University of Newcastle.
