Stress and Mood Disorders Research Group Facilities
Facilities
The stress and mood disorders research group is located within the Medical Sciences building at the University of Newcastle, Australia, NSW. The laboratory is approximately, 240sqm, and is split into two main sections, the behavioural phenotyping facility and the cell and molecular analysis facility. Within the behavioural phenotyping section a range of infrastructure exists that is ideally suited to conducting detailed behavioural analysis of rodents including a multi-station DSI telemetry system and Ethovision. Within our cell and molecular section of the laboratory we have a large variety of equipment that is in accord with the relatively wide range of techniques regularly deployed by members of our group which include cell culture, PCR, 2D electrophoresis and immunohistochemistry.
