Molecular and cellular analysis of the cytoskeleton and its role in morphogenesis in plant cells.

Current projects include:

  • Molecular analysis of cytoskeletal genes in higher plants.
  • Functional analysis of the cytoskeleton in higher plants by complementation in yeast.
  • Role of the cytoskeleton in transfer cell development in cotyledons of Vicia faba (with Dr C.E. Offler).
    Separation of total protein from transfer and adaxial epidermal cells of Vicia faba cotyledons
  • Molecular analysis of hexose porter genes in developing tomato fruit (with Assoc. Prof. J.W. Patrick).
