Faculty of Science and Information Technology Mid-Year Honours Scholarship

Establishment

This scholarship was establised by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology to encourage and support students entering an Honours program with the aim of progressing to an RHD program offered by the Faculty of Science and Information Technology.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

• Be commencing in Semester 2 2013 in an Honours program offered by the Faculty of Science and Information Technology or in an Honours program undertaking studies in a discipline area offered by the Faculty such as Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology
• Not be enrolled in a 4 years honours embedded program
• Enrol full time in the Honours program
• Not hold another scholarship for the same program of equivalent or more substantial benefit
• Not have previously received this scholarship

Benefit

Scholarships will be available for students commencing in Semester 2, 2013. The scholarships provide a total of $2,000 each payable in two payments of $1,000 to be paid each semester after the census date.

Selection

Selection of the scholar will be on the basis of academic merit, namely Grade Point Average (GPA) together with a brief written statement outlining the applicant's future study and career aspirations.
