|Establishment||The Health Behaviour Research Group undertakes research in a broad range of fields which include cancer prevention, screening, heart disease, mental illness, diabetes, alcohol consumption, stroke and Indigenous health. It is made up of researchers and students from the University of Newcastle, who are affiliated with the University of Newcastle Priority Research Centre for Health Behaviour.
The Health Behaviour Research Group is seeking expressions of interest for Intern Scholarships to assist with the conduct of literature reviews.

Description of tasks Interns will work with a Research Fellow from the Health Behaviour Research Group to undertake literature review tasks. This may include (but is not limited to): conducting literature searches, undertaking data coding and extraction, and assisting with writing of sections of the manuscript. Co-authorship on the resulting paper will be offered if minimum requirements related to authorship are met (see: http://www.bmj.com/about-bmj/resources-authors/article-submission/authorship-contributorship).
Hours of work Interns will be required to undertake a total of 50 hours of work over a 4-5 week period. Interns will be required to attend face-to-face meetings with the Research Fellow they are working with at the Hunter Medical Research Institute. Hours and location of work will be by negotiation. Six (6) Scholarships will be available. The benefit total is $1,000.00 paid in two instalments with the final payment of $800 made after the satisfactory completion of the internship.
Selection of the Scholar will be on the basis of Academic Merit; as well as the applicants response to the following questions:
