Any student who is enrolled (either commencing or continuing) in a Bachelor of Medicine (or Allied Health) degree, who is a member of, and plays on a full-time basis for, the University of Newcastle Rugby Union Football Club (RUFC) and can provide evidence of academic success is able to apply for this scholarship. Written Statement detailing evidence of Rugby Union achievements
One (1) Scholarship will be offered. The scholarship provides a benefit of $5,000 payable in two lump sums of $2,500 after confirmation of eligibility after the relevant Semester Census Dates.
This Scholarship, established in 2014 will not be open for application until September 2014 for the 2015 academic year.
Selection of the recipient will be made by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NuSport and will be based on the applicant meeting all the eligibility criteria and providing the required documentation.
Should there be more than one applicant equally ranked/eligible then the CEO, NuSport can nominate a selection committee to determine the recipient. This may involve the applicants being interviewed.
