Broken Bay Institute (BBI) Scholarship in Memory of Sister Leonie Crotty

Establishment

This scholarship for women is being established to honour the memory of Sister Leonie Crotty, a cherished colleague, professional educator and board member of the Broken Bay Institute who sadly passed away at 62 years from cancer.

Applicable to: Theology, women, female, postgraduate, graduate certificate, masters

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

• Be enrolled in a Diploma of Theology, Bachelor of Theology, Graduate Certificate or Master of Theology program
• Be female

Benefit

One (1) scholarship will be offered annually. The scholarship provides a lump sum payment of $2,500.00.

Selection

Selection will be based on the assessment of a 300-500 word statement that draws from some or all of the following criteria (in order of priority):

• Commitment to theological study
• Need for financial support in order to study
• Academic achievement

Students may also be invited to an interview.
