In 2011 local Freemasons from 8 separate Masonic Orders on the Central Coast funded the purchase of a sterilising unit for the University's Oral Health Mobile Van.

These local Freemasons would like to support students by providing scholarships across the programs offered at the Central Coast Campus. These scholarships are intended to assist students who are in financial need, yet academically sound.

Applicable to: 2nd Year, Ourimbah, Central Coast, Financially disadvantaged, high achievers, Nursing, Oral Health Therapy, Podiatry, Science, Exercise, Sports Science, Food Science, Human Nutrition, Commerce, Teaching, Early Childhood.


To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled as a 2nd year student in one of the following undergraduate programs at the University of Newcatle, Central Coast Campus: or Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy, Bachelor of Podiatry, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition, or Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) / Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) / Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies.
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Be a Permanent Resident
  • Be enrolled full-time (minimum 30 units).
  • Be the holder of a current Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card.
  • The student must be a resident residing in the Local Government area of Wyong Shire Council and Gosford City Council.

  • A copy of your current Centrelink Low Income Health Care Card or Income Payment Statement.

Two (2) scholarships will be offered annually. The scholarship provides a benefit of $2,500 paid as one $2,000 lump sum payment and one $500 co-op book voucher after Semester 1 census date.


Selection of the scholar will be on the basis of assessment of the application against the eligibility criteria. Academic merit may be considered.
