|Establishment||This scholarship was established in honour of Philip Emlyn Thomas, a science graduate of the University of Newcastle, whose love of music equalled his interest in science. It is intended to recognise and enhance outstanding keyboard performance ability in students from the region.
Applicable to: Music, Keyboard studies, Masters, Post Graduate, Research, Creative Arts.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

Provide a one (1) A4 page submission outlining your goals as a musician and an outline showing your understanding of the music you propose to play at the performance
Selection of the scholar will be on the basis of:
* A performance including at least one piece from the classical repertoire.
* One (1) A4 page submission outlining the applicant's goals as a musician and an outline showing their understanding of the music they propose to play at the performance.
