EstablishmentThis scholarship was established by the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information to support a woman student enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor of Surveying degree at the University of Newcastle.

Applicable to: women,surveying, surveyors, High Achievers.


To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in the 1st year of the Bachelor of Surveying or combined degree including Bachelor of Surveying
  • Be enrolled full-time (minimum 30 units).
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Be a Permanent Resident
  • Not have previously received this scholarship.
  • Be female

  • A written statement demonstrating/outlining your academic achievements to date, career aspirations in the relevant area of study/research and how this scholarship would assist you.

The scholarship provides a benefit of $5000, payable in a lump sum after the census date.


Selection of the scholar will be on the basis of academic merit, namely HSC performance or other admission requirements, and the documentation provided with the application detailing the scholar's motivation, communication skills, relevant interests and career aspirations on graduation and in the longer term for their chosen discipline/degree.
