John Holland Scholarship in Construction Management
Establishment
This scholarship was established by the School of Architecture and Built Environment to recognise the valuable contribution of John Holland Group to the teaching and research of Construction Management courses at The University of Newcastle. To this end, it is intended that a scholarship be awarded to a Construction Management student recognising their academic achievement and performance to date.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Construction Management program
- Be an Australian Citizen or Be a Permanent Resident
- Not hold another scholarship
Required Documentation
If this documentation is not provided your application will not be processed.
After you have submitted your application, please print off the cover sheet provided and attach a copy of each piece of required documentation to it before sending in.
- A one (1) page statement detailing your career aspirations and motivation.
Benefit
The scholarship provides the benefit of a $2000 fee waiver.
Selection
Selection of the scholar will be on the basis of academic merit, namely cumulative Weighted Average Mark (WAM) and a one (1) page statement detailing applicants career aspirations and motivation.

Preference may be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and mature aged female applicants.
