Research Scholarships

APA Industry Research Scholarships

This page is updated when leading researchers at the University of Newcastle have been successful in securing Australian Postgraduate Awards (Industry) within ARC Linkage Projects.

These scholarships may be available at either Master (two year tenure) or PhD ( three year tenure) level, depending on the project. A stipend will be paid at the applicable APAI rate (for 2008 the rate is $26,140).

The availability of the scholarships is subject to the agreement of the ARC and the Industry Partner.

These scholarships are available to Australian and New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents, who have completed a minimum of four years of tertiary study at a high level of achievement. Project specific criteria may apply.

Applications will be considered until position is filled.
