Standard answer to question A7.3 "Does the Administering Organisation have arrangements to manage intellectual property and facilitate commercialisation of research?":
"The University of Newcastle maintains a policy on the management of intellectual property for the information of its Researchers. This policy is consistent with the National Principles of Intellectual Property Management for Publicly Funded Research and provides a framework designed to support the Researcher from disclosure through to realisation, to maximise commercial return on Research, and to protect University intellectual assets. The policy is facilitated through the business activities of the University's commercial subsidiary "Newcastle Innovation".
