Centre for Materials

This broadly based Centre brings together over twenty-five researchers from the Faculties of Engineering and Built Environment, Science & Information Technology and the Electron Microscope & X Ray unit, with access to over twenty analysis techniques, as an incubator Centre for a future ARC funded centre. It aims to be a centre of excellence of international repute in materials, materials science and materials engineering.

Its primary goal is to be an integrated body of materials knowledge to enhance materials collaboration within the University and with industrial partners. In this context the title materials is inclusive of the entire field of materials from atoms to boulders, surface to bulk, pure research to industrial research.
