This project aims to
- identify the capacity of tenants to adapt to climate change
- identify the capacity of housing managers (private and public) and landlords to respond to the challenge of climate change in the rental housing sector
- Identify ways in which these groups can work together more effectively on adaptation to climate change in the rental sector.
The research team is conducting interviews with public and private housing tenants, and with housing managers or landlords in inner Newcastle and Toronto (Lake Macquarie). Analysis of these interviews will result in best practice guides and YouTube clips on tenants’ adaptation practices.
