Aims

We hope this project will form the basis for an external funding application.

Background

It is proposed to build on the success of Council’s existing involvement in Energy Improvement, Cleaner Production and domestic REFIT programs by establishing a pilot program inviting overnight accommodation places within the vineyards to participate in a program to reduce / recognise their impact on natural resources.
With a number of beds available for overnight accommodation within the vineyards, there is an opportunity to demonstrate that sustainability can be an integral part of the hospitality industry and tourism market.
