John Rodger
Professor John Rodger is the Director of The Tom Farrell Institute for the Environment.
From 1995 to 2002 John held the position of Director of CRC Conservation and Management of Marsupials.
In 1976 John received his PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the University of Sydney. John’s research has focussed on reproductive biology of marsupials and he has made major contributions in the area of male marsupial reproduction and gamete function. His work has also been directed at developing technologies to assist the conservation of endangered marsupials and immunologically based fertility control for pest species.
Belinda Marks
Belinda Marks is the part time Events Coordinator for the Tom Farrell Institute for the Environment.
Belinda brings with her a valuable knowledge base of administration experience and skills, encompassing general administration duties, event management, personal/executive assistant duties, desktop publishing, and sales and marketing. Belinda's previous positions include office Manager at Visy Recycling, Project Secretary and Personal Assistant to the Project Manager at Port Waratah Coal Service, administration at The University of Newcastle and various other roles within both private and public sectors.
Karel Grezl
If Regional Solutions for a Sustainable Future is the vision for the Tom Farrell Institute for the Environment, then recently appointed Research Associate Karel Grezl is well qualified to help deliver it.
Karel believes his PhD thesis on Sustainable Regional Development and Innovation gives him strong insights into how to deal practically with the challenges posed by sustainable development in regional settings through innovation. Karel has degrees in Metallurgy and Law, and broad-ranging professional and travel experience.
