DRUMBEAT Instructional DVD

This DVD has been designed for use by accredited DRUMBEAT facilitators along with the DRUMBEAT facilitator's manual.

DRUMBEAT, Discovering Relationships Using Music - Beliefs, Emotions, Attitudes & Thoughts, is in use with a wide range of different population groups, including young people 'at risk', persons in detention, drug and alcohol users in rehabilitation and those with a mental health diagnosis.

This DVD shows each exercise of the formal program in detail, including the core rhythms of the program and the rhythm games. As well, the use of analogies drawn from the drum circle to support discussions on key relationship themes are shown in some depth. A number of additional exercises that can be incorporated into the program for specific groups are also included as well as a brief performance by one group of students.

For the accredited DRUMBEAT facilitator this DVD provides a clear guide to the practical delivery of the program.
