Improved Load Planning for SAIA - Unique Algorithm-Based Technology

SAIA, a successful freight carrier company in the US approached C-OPT in creating a more cost-effective load plan. SAIA's current load plans were ineffective as they were done up manually by humans. These plans could take days to create but SAIA needed load plans to be done in a few hours.

C-OPT solution was to create an algorithm that quickly created load plans in hours. It is also the only technology of its kind to be to handle daily freight volume fluctuations.

Markdown Management at a Major Department Store - Improved Decision Making through Maths

A major department store chain in the US were having trouble understanding the impact of their decisions concerning their markdown policies and whether C-OPT could help them make better decisions to improve revenue in the future.

C-OPT analysed historical data from the stores, plus it interviewed many store managers. Eventually, C-OPT discovered that there were two factors that had a big influence on markdown policy successes. Through practicing the manipulation of these factors, the department store was able to greatly increase their revenue.

Maritime Inventory Routing - Balancing Multiple Factors Through Algorithms

ExxonMobil needed to find a cost-effective way of transporting vacuum gas oil from Europe to US refineries. This particular challenge involved several factors that could affect the final result and therefore need appropriate handling.

C-OPT developed an algorithm that not only balanced these multiple factors, but also developed high quality solutions to even difficult transportation problems.
