C-OPT (Centre for Optimal Planning and Operations) is a research center based at the University of Newcastle. Headed by Professors Martins Savelsbergh and Natashia Boland, they lead a team of over twenty dedicated fellow researchers and PhD students who specialize in the science of Operations Research.

C-OPT has a proven track record of providing solutions to big business, both locally and globally. C-OPT has been engaged in the mining, shipping and retail industries to deliver successful solutions based on mathematical analysis.
