Dr Chris Fell
Dr Fell brings a perspective of seven years experience in industrial research and development with both the semiconductor and telecommunications industries. He is a specialist in optics and photonics as well as surface and thin-film characterisation, with particular interest in photovoltaic devices. He has been responsible for product design at the device architecture stage, as well as process design at the pilot manufacturing stage and played an important role in developing a thin-film silicon photovoltaic technology that has now been commercialised. At CSIRO Energy Technology, Dr Fell leads a team developing new photovoltaic technologies, including plastic solar cells, and is building a major facility for standardised testing of photovoltaic devices.
