Shear Behaviour of Infilled Rock Joints in Relation to Unsaturated Infill Conditions

Research Abstract

This project involves extending the current understanding of Shear strength of infill rock joints by considering the effect of partial saturation of the infill. It consists of laboratory testing of artificial and natural rock joints with partial saturation of infill and developing a mathematical model to predict shear behavior.
