Load Deformation Behaviour of Sediment Infilled Rock Joints Subjected to Internal Water Flow

Research Abstract

This project is a study about the fluid flow through sediment in-filled rock fracture networks. Erosion of sediments by the fluid flow and the deformations of rock fractures due to effective stress are considered when the fluid flow is modelled and a coupled flow equation is developed. Fractured rock samples are tested in laboratory in order to validate the developed model.
