Evaluation of the "Perfecting Healthcare Delivery" program

The Hunter New England Area Health Service (HNEAHS) is undertaking a major reform program designed to improve patient journeys -ââ¬ÅPerfecting Healthcare Deliveryââ¬. The PHD program is a HNEAHS initiative designed to examine the delivery of health care in the Hunter. The aim of the program is to gain information about how processes and practices need to be modified to respond most effectively to the needs of the community, staff and management and to implement those modifications.
HAHS has funded the CCEB to conduct an evaluation of the PHD program. The evaluation will consist of both quantitative analyses of routinely collected hospital data and qualitative analyses of interviews with key staff involved in the project as well as patients. This evaluation will be conducted over a 2 year period.
