Australian Competitive Grants Register (ACGR)
The grant schemes listed on the Australian Competitive Grant Register (ACGR) are grants which have met the criteria specified by the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education (DIISRT). The grants listed cover funding distributed in 2012 as well as funding to be distributed in 2013.
To be included on the register, the grant schemes must be open to all Australian researchers and provide funding for research. Schemes are generally listed for five years but the register is updated annually.
- A full listing of schemes included on the Australian Competitive Grants Register can be found on the ACGR website.

Success in obtaining grants listed on the Australian Competitive Grant Register earns the University Research Infrastructure Block Grant (RIBG) funds as well as other block funding such as Sustainable Research Excellence (SRE). Therefore it is important that we fully utilise these schemes.
