Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA)
At UoN our research is driven by a commitment to quality and impact. We are a research intensive university and receive outstanding results from Australia's leading research assessment Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA).
In 2012, the University ranked equal seventh nationally for research 'well above world standard' in the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) assessment , up from tenth in 2010. This assessment was carried out by the Australian Government's principal research agency, the Australian Research Council (ARC).
Under ERA, 90 per cent of our research was rated 'at world standard' or above, and 27 fields of research were rated either 'above world standard' or 'well above world standard'.
