Collaborative approaches to strengths based development

This project investigates links between an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach and an economic development framework (the Diverse Economies Framework, DEF) to build community and economic futures. CURS researchers in this area have worked with NGOs, social enterprises and academic researchers including the Family Action Centre (The University of Newcastle), Unlad Kabayan Migrant Services Foundation Inc. (The Philippines), Figtree Community Garden (Newcastle), MASIPAG (the Philippines), Bawaka Cultural Experiences (Northeast Arnhem Land), Bushlight (Alice Springs), Birchip Cropping Group (Victoria), Rural Financial Counselling Service (Victoria) and Sunraysia Mallee Ethnic Communities Council (Victoria).
