The Centre for Optimal Planning and Operations (C-OPT) brings together researchers with expertise and experience in using quantitative methods to develop innovative, customised solutions that help businesses streamline their processes and enhance their decision making, to reduce costs, increase productivity, and positively impact their triple bottom line.
C-OPT (Centre for Optimal Planning and Operations) is a research center based at the University of Newcastle. Headed by Professors Martin Savelsbergh and Natashia Boland, they lead a team of over twenty dedicated fellow researchers and PhD students who specialize in the science of Operations Research.
C-OPT has a proven track record of providing solutions to big business, both locally and globally. C-OPT has been engaged in the mining, shipping and retail industries to deliver successful solutions based on mathematical analysis.
