The Centre for Asthma and Respiratory Diseases welcomes applications from prospective Masters and PhD students. To be considered, you will need to be fluent in English and have achieved excellent results in your undergraduate studies.

Applications are open for a PhD scholarship at the University of Newcastle. As the successful applicant you will undertake your doctoral studies in the Priority Research Centre for Asthma and Respiratory Disease at the Hunter Medical Research Institute in Newcastle.

A PhD opportunity exists within a research group which focuses on the innate immune responses in airway epithelial cells against respiratory/infectious viral infections including influenza viruses and coronaviruses, and how these immune responses can be altered by viruses under the supervision of Dr Alan Hsu
