AUQA Report of the University of Newcastle Performance Portfolio

At the University of Newcastle, we aim to provide high quality teaching, learning and research services to our students, staff, community and other stakeholders. We strive to improve the quality of our activities through ongoing monitoring and regular evaluation of our performance. We have a policy library that describes the principles by which we govern the activities within the institution. We also have guidelines to facilitate the implementation of those policies and we encourage communication at all levels to improve our delivery of services.

We have a commitment to quality from all members of the University community and we actively engage with our key stakeholders to better understand their needs. We coordinate all quality assurance, improvement and planning activities and ensure that decisions are informed by data and evidence. As a community, we have demonstrated our resilience during times of change. We have shown our capacity to define targets, to meet those targets, and then to aim higher. As a community, we celebrate our achievements and look ahead with enthusiasm and a strong sense of commitment to becoming an institution of distinction.
