The Master of Business Administration/Master of Information Technology (Professional) is designed to provide students with a range of analytic, strategic and leadership skills while meeting the demands of the IT industry. The program provides graduates with training and experience that will prepare them for increasingly competitive careers in the fast moving areas of Business and Information Technology.

Graduates of this program will be capable of working in a senior role as network engineers, systems analysts, programmers, database analysts, project managers or system managers. Further careers that may be available include managerial positions in an extensive range of commercial and public sector organisations.

Applicants must have a recognised Bachelor degree or Postgraduate Diploma or a recognised Graduate Certificate; or a recognised Diploma and 2 years work experience; or a GMAT score of 550; or successfully completed 20 units of postgraduate University studies with a GPA of 5 or more and two years work experience; or successfully completed 30 units of postgraduate University studies with a GPA of 4 or more and two years work experience.

The program can be completed over 2 years of full-time study (or part-time equivalent) in a combination of semester and trimester study depending on course selection. Students must complete the 180 units of core courses in the degree.

From Trimester 1 2012, a number of new and revised postgraduate courses will be offered as part of newly structured Faculty of Business and Law postgraduate programs. Many of these courses will be direct replacements for courses offered in 2011 and earlier.
