The Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety was developed by the Schools of Health Sciences and Environmental & Life Sciences of The University of Newcastle, through a partnership with PSB in Singapore. The Schools provide the academic content and theoretical principles and PSB Academy provides the Singapore context and Asian perspective on professional EOHS practice. The program is offered over two years 1.5 years or part-time equivalent. 80 units of unspecified credit at Year 1 level is granted to all students who meet the admissions criteria. The program is mainly targeted at diploma holders from Polytechnics in Singapore, or equivalent, in the fields of science or engineering. The delivery mode is designed for students who are in full-time work, but who wish to study during the day or evening. For those in full time work and highly motivated, study in the evenings and some week-ends is available. The degree provides a sound theoretical base and skills necessary to enable graduate professionals to manage effectively new and emerging EOHS issues. The degree is taught and examined in Singapore.
